Sorry to our BF2 Playing Clan Members Orphaned!
Sorry, remaining BF2 guys, but it would seem the RR clan has naturally evolved to BC2 and the future BF3. The evolution happened quickly and naturally and no-one can expect a clan or it's members to remain engrained in an old game for forever.
I'm sure all your clan members now playing BC2 wish you were not BF2 orphans and hope to see your BC2 situation change soon!
Working on coop solution for BC2 orphaned members!I've already tried several things including hacking extra key codes and trying to use the EA downloader and keys on another PC! (I was going to offer my 2nd copy to anyone that wanted to play!) I've also tried hacked serials etc., and none of these things worked. It would seem EA has locked down BC2 far better than previous battlefield games!
Maybe other clan members can help those needy BC2 deficient clan memeber obtain a copy, but I can't offer any additional financial help, as I'm already paying for and maintaining multiple clan servers.
BC2 Game Avaialbility and Pricing.Though the game is only $60.00 list and EA is currently selling it at the EA-Store for $50.00. The cheapest place around right now is newegg.com at $48.00. Keep watching Frys.com, newegg.com, tigerdirect.com and the EA-Store as they have had it on sales for as little as $25.00.
If you play BC2 only 1 year, thats less than $5.00 per month, or far less than 1/2 what you would pay for World of Warcraft for the same period of time! This is far less than what Me, Merc, filitos and others are and have paid for our copies and our clan servers in past and future months.
Since Me, Merc, filiftos and others have bought our copies and are paying for the clan servers, I think it's only fair that the remaining individual clan members buy thier own BC2 copy.
Remeber the BC2 client copy is only a 1 time cost while the BC2, teamspeak, web, and othere game servers are paid for each and every month by me and other clan members! (Also remember these servers consume some of our non-game playing time to maintain and keep running too.)
On a personal note I think the game is well worth getting. BC2 is the core that BF3 is being built on, BF3 will have more maps and features that have been modified to look, feel and play more like the current BF2!
Currently only a small number of active clan members can't play BC2. 1. Uglyho won't play. (He needs both a PC upgrade and a copy. and he say's the game looks gay.)
2. KIA is in middle of getting a New PC. (He has or will be getting a copy.)
3. DodgeJR needs a BC2 copy. (He has enough PC.)
4. SnakeAK47 needs a BC2 copy. (He has enough PC.)
5. TANGKILLER getting new PC. (He has or will be getting a copy.)
Current BF2 Server Statsus.Since the BF2 Ranked ($25/mo) and AIXS Ranked ($13/mo) servers are costing approximately $38.00/month, I can no longer afford them and since very few people are playing or paying for either them, when the new bill comes this month I'll be shutting down the BF2 and AIXS Ranked servers. Unless someone else want's to start paying for one or the other or both of these BF2 servers.
