Yes there is a 300 point limit. If a player goes over a certain amount of points, those stats will not be recorded for that round. It used to be 400 points. This is EA's way of preventing point farmers from stats padding and to help identify hacked or compromised servers/accounts. Now if a players is kicked from a server for it, then that's the admins doing, not EA, DICE, or PB. If one player goes over the set point limit, it will only affect that individual player. Everyone else will still get their points and other stats recorded.

I would think that this limit is like the limit in AIX which is 350 I believe. Don't know the highest I've scored on a BF2 map is 312.

Big Dog went over the limit yesterday and he still got the points so I don't really know what it is. It said over 300 points is considered a hacking server, but i know i have gotten over 600 points before in bf2, because of the ticket ratio and i still got it somehow.

This will prohibit full ticket rounds on servers where the skill levels are well balanced and the battle round goes on for a long time, as it did yesterday!

I'm finding it harder and harder to believe that the same apearently smart people who wrote BF2, continue to come up with stupid policies that hamper thier games and patron gamers and ticks off the gameing community that buys thier products!

A 300 point limit is both arbitrary and ineffective against hackers and point whores. It appears again that EA has taken the easy way out and done little "if anything at all" to stop the real problems, which are hackers and stats padding servers. This should also make "Commanders" in BF2 worry about commanders points as well. If your clan is averaging higher than 150 then your not likely to get any points as you score will be 2x the average off all players on the winning side! EA has almost made the best part of BF2 the worst part of BF2, commanding now sucks!

This 300 point limit only hirts the ligitamate player and does nothing at all to curb stats padding!

This kind of activity by the author "EA" makes me "not want to buy any of thier products" for fear they will also be needlessly cripled in some way!

By the way this is not a point limit if it were then you would get 300 points even if you went over. It's a POINTS PENALTY! By making it to 301 you then lose all 300 previously earned points, thus it's a penalty.

Both EA and AIX do the same stupid thing and penalize you if you top "The Score". This leads to players that just stop playing at the limit or leaveing the server completely. It also leads to players using suicide to reduce thiers scores to below the limit. Both these things happen and both effectivly subverts the points penalty to start with, very stupid!
